The “Omega” Special Forces Center of the National Guard of Ukraine was established to centralize the command of special forces units, ensuring more effective coordination on the battlefield—both with other security forces and among themselves. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022, special forces units have been carrying out combat missions in the Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions.
