The “Omega” Special Purpose Center of the National Guard of Ukraine was established to centralize the command of special forces units, enabling more effective coordination on the battlefield both with other security forces and among themselves. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022, special forces units have been conducting combat operations in the Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions.
